What are your reasons to give thanks?
NOVEMBER 18, 2007 (SUNDAY) - Here's the outline for today's sermon at
First Baptist Church, Rockport, Texas
INTRODUCTION: Jesus taught us to give thanks. This Psalm gives
us some valid reasons to be thankful.
I. HE FORGIVES US
1. He forgives all our sins (vs 3)
2. He forgives mightily (vs 4)
3. He forgives completely (vs 12)
II. HE TAKES CARE OF US
1. He provides good things for us (vs 5)
2. He provides healing for us (vs 3)
3. He provides justice for us (vs 6)
III. HE LOVES US
1. His love is steadfast (vs 8)
2. His love is full of mercy (vv 9-11)
3. His love is full of sympathy (vv 13-14)
CONCLUSION: What are your personal reasons to be thankful?
